What kind of bug is this? And more importantly - what can I do about it?
Over the past several months we've had a problem with bugs like this getting inside our house. Help! Where do they come from? Could they be breeding somewhere inside, or nesting outside?

It's called a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug! They're not indigenous to the US and were accidentally introduced from their native China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan where they are considered an agricultural pest. Here's an interesting narrative on the species hosted by PSU:
